Reminiscence

Some perfumes are worn, others are remembered. Reminiscence was born in 1970 on the French Riviera and has since made patchouli its signature: a warm, earthy, enveloping raw material that the house made its centrepiece when no one else dared. Its very name speaks of memory, and each of its fragrances invites you to relive a place, an era or a moment suspended in time. Even its bottle pays tribute to its origins: its curve echoes that of the legendary rue d'Antibes in Cannes.

The heart of the collection is Le Patchouli, the icon born in the seventies: an intense eau de toilette that blends essential oil of patchouli and cedar with a heart of sandalwood and vetiver, over a base of vanilla, tonka bean, white musk, labdanum and Tolu balsam. Le Patchouli Elixir revisits that same spirit as an eau de parfum, more concentrated, deep and sensual. And Le Patchouli Elixir Limited Edition dresses that elixir in a collector's bottle with mystical suns and golden arabesques, designed to be gifted and kept.

The house also knows how to be luminous. Le Rem, inspired by the island of Saint-Barthélemy, opens with a marine note, lilac and jasmine, and ends in a trail of vanilla and white musk reminiscent of skin after a day at the beach. Sous Un Mimosa De Provence is an ode to the yellow flower of southern France, with violet and hawthorn leaves on top and a warm base of sandalwood, vanilla and musk. Dolce Riviera reinvents patchouli in a white and sunny key: aldehydes and star anise on top, hawthorn and sandalwood at the heart, and a base of patchouli and white musk.

All Reminiscence fragrances are unisex and share the same philosophy: few ingredients, well chosen and placed in the foreground, with no superfluous layers. That's why they are so recognisable. To enjoy them to the fullest, apply them to pulse points (wrists, neck and inner elbows) and onto moisturised skin, which helps the fragrance last. The eau de parfum versions, thanks to their higher concentration, offer an especially long-lasting trail.
