Armaf

Armaf, Arabic perfumery from the Emirates

Armaf is a perfume house from the United Arab Emirates that belongs to Sterling Parfums, a family group with decades of experience in the industry. Today it's one of the Emirati brands with the greatest international presence: its fragrances are distributed in more than 90 countries and its catalogue is organised into highly recognisable lines, such as Club de Nuit, Odyssey, Tres Nuit, Checkmate or Bucephalus.

Its approach brings together two worlds: the intensity and generosity of Arabic perfumery, with amber, woods, spices and sweet accords, and the clear structure of Western perfumery, with fresh, citrus openings that make these perfumes easy to wear every day. That's why Armaf perfumes have carved out a place among those looking for fragrances with presence, good projection and a trail you can really notice.

Club de Nuit Intense Man, Armaf's best-known perfume

Launched in 2015, Club de Nuit Intense Man is the fragrance that put the brand on the map outside the Middle East and one of the most talked-about among perfume enthusiasts. It's an intense eau de toilette from the woody family that opens with pineapple, blackcurrant, apple, bergamot and lemon; settles into a heart of birch, jasmine and rose, and finishes with a base of patchouli, musk, vanilla and ambergris. The contrast between the juicy fruit of the opening and the smoky touch of birch is what gives it its personality: fresh at first, dark and elegant afterwards. It works all year round, both day and night.

The Odyssey line: fresher or sweeter Arabic perfumes for men

The Odyssey line brings together masculine eau de parfum fragrances with very different profiles from one another:

  • Odyssey Mega: bright aromatic woody. Lemon, bergamot, orange, ginger and mint in the opening; pineapple, sage, juniper and geranium in the heart, and a base of musk, cedar, tonka bean and vetiver. Clean and energetic, it particularly shines in spring and summer.
  • Odyssey Mandarin Sky: the sweetest of the collection. It opens with mandarin, orange, saffron and sage, sweetens with caramel, tonka bean and tagetes, and settles on ambroxan, cedar and vetiver. A citrus, sweet perfume that comes into its own in autumn and winter.

How to choose your Armaf perfume

  • If you're looking for a versatile perfume for all year round: Club de Nuit Intense Man, fresh and fruity on opening with a base full of character.
  • If you prefer something clean and fresh for daytime and warm weather: Odyssey Mega.
  • If you love sweet, enveloping perfumes: Odyssey Mandarin Sky, with its caramel and tonka bean accord.

As with much of Arabic perfumery, these are fragrances with a generous presence: two or three sprays on your pulse points (neck, wrists and behind the ears) are enough. Applied to moisturised skin, the trail lasts longer.
