Heather honey from the Lüneburg Heath in northern Germany, chosen by Prof. Dr. Steinkraus to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
It's made the old-fashioned way: by pressing the honeycombs instead of spinning them. Very few beekeepers still work this way today, because it takes much more time and effort. Thanks to this method, the honey retains more pollen and natural components, and its aroma and flavour are more intense.
