When combination or oily skin gets clogged, pores become more noticeable, shine appears, and imperfections set in. SEGLE Biotech Skincare’s AHA/BHA Exfoliating Serum has been designed as a daily exfoliating treatment that gently renews the surface of the skin, unclogs the pore from within, and keeps acne under control without sacrificing comfort. Radiance, a more even texture, and fewer breakouts in one gesture.

Gentle daily exfoliation with anti-acne action

This serum combines alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) to provide complete exfoliation: on the surface and inside the pore. The result is visibly smoother skin, with fewer blackheads and milia, and a cleaner, more mattified look, day after day.

  • Gently exfoliates, removing dead cells accumulated on the surface.
  • Refines texture and improves the appearance of enlarged pores.
  • Unclogs the pore, helping prevent clogged pores, blackheads, and new imperfections.
  • Regulates excess sebum and provides a mattifying effect.
  • Helps reduce inflammation and redness associated with acne.

AHA/BHA synergy: skin renewal from every angle

The formula is based on the strategic combination of 2% salicylic acid (BHA) and plant-derived AHAs to treat both the surface and the inside of the pore. This is complemented by a cocktail of soothing extracts that care for the skin barrier and minimize the typical discomfort caused by exfoliants.

2% salicylic acid: purifying and sebum-regulating BHA

Salicylic acid is the benchmark beta-hydroxy acid for oily, acne-prone skin. Liposoluble, it penetrates into the pore to dissolve oxidized sebum and impurities that lead to blemishes and blackheads.

  • Cleans pores deeply and reduces clogged pores and blackheads.
  • Helps prevent the formation of new acne lesions.
  • Balances sebum production and improves the skin’s shiny appearance.
  • Provides antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action, calming active breakouts.

Important: contraindicated for people allergic to salicylic acid or aspirin.

Mandelic acid: a gentle AHA that brightens and evens out

Derived from bitter almonds, mandelic acid is a large-molecule AHA that penetrates more slowly and more respectfully, making it ideal for exfoliating without irritating acne-prone skin.

  • Gently renews the skin surface, improving texture.
  • Helps even out skin tone and fade post-inflammatory marks.
  • Provides radiance and a fresher-looking complexion.
  • Helps regulate excess oil, reinforcing the serum’s sebum-regulating action.

Citric and phytic acids: brightness and a depigmenting action

Citric acid, naturally found in citrus fruits, acts as a gentle exfoliant with antioxidant benefits, while phytic acid, of plant origin, provides an extra depigmenting action.

  • They help eliminate dead cells by softening the dull grayish tone.
  • Contributes to a more even and luminous tone.
  • Provides antioxidant protection against oxidative stress.
  • Phytic acid helps prevent and soften dark spots.

Plant-soothing complex: oat, chamomile, and mallow

To balance the exfoliating action, the serum includes oat, chamomile and mallow extracts—three classic actives in dermocosmetics for their ability to soothe and protect.

  • They calm irritated or reactive skin and help reduce redness.
  • They strengthen the skin barrier, helping to maintain hydration.
  • They provide a feeling of softness and comfort after application.

Texture, sensorial experience, and skin type

With a fluid texture that absorbs easily, the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Serum blends perfectly into routines for combination and/or oily skin, and skin with a tendency to acne. Apply it with just a few drops and it quickly melds in without leaving an oily film or a sticky feel, allowing you to continue with the rest of your routine in complete comfort.

How to incorporate it into your facial ritual

Use the serum as a daily exfoliating treatment, always adjusting the frequency according to your skin’s tolerance. Apply it after cleansing and before your moisturizer or hydrating treatment.

  • In the morning: after cleansing and around the eye area, apply 3–4 drops to dry skin, avoiding the eye contour. Let it absorb and finish with a lightweight cream or directly with your broad-spectrum facial sunscreen.
  • At night: after cleansing with makeup remover oil and the cleansing foam, apply the serum to the face and, if you wish, to the neck, avoiding irritated areas. Complete with a balancing cream or moisturizer, especially if your skin is combination or dehydrated.

It is not photosensitizing, so it can be used all year round, even in summer. However, due to its exfoliating action, daily sun protection is essential to preserve the health and even tone of the skin.

Do not combine in the same routine with retinoids or other strong exfoliants; alternate its use (apply the AHA/BHA Exfoliating Serum in the morning and the retinoid at night, or on alternating nights) according to professional recommendations and how your skin responds.

Preguntas frecuentes
