How Press & Clear works
- Full strength BHA salicylic acid (2%) is oil-soluble and able to penetrate deep into pores to break down blockages that can cause blemishes and congestion. Our hero of blemishes, promotes a visibly decongested and clarified complexion. Salicylic acid is optimally delivered with our gentle release crystal encapsulation system. This system slowly releases salicylic acid to prevent any discomfort on sensitive and vulnerable skin, while maintaining its potency.
- Press & Clear has a very skin-friendly pH of ~5.5.While other exfoliating acids, such as AHAs, require a low pH to act on the skin, salicylic acid is special in that it is an effective exfoliant at both a low and more neutral pH. Our balanced pH helps make Press & Clear sting-free and gentle to use.
- Tranexamic acid, a brightening active, works to visibly even out skin tone, minimizing the appearance of persistent marks and imperfections.
- Sake extract and aloe vera soothe and hydrate the skin, counteracting any dryness that may have occurred during and after the appearance of pimples. The skin barrier is nourished and supported; resistant to future outbreaks.
How to use
- After morning and/or evening cleansing, hold a facial pad (reusable is best) firmly over Press & Clear and press 3-4 times.
- Pass the pad over your skin, avoiding the delicate eye area.
- Turn the pump clockwise until it locks to secure it. Store out of direct sunlight.
- We advise new users to apply once a day and observe the skin response, then use up to twice a day.

"Press & Clear's formula has an optimized pH of ~5.5, to stay aligned with the skin's natural pH ensuring a comfortable experience when using the toner.
Many other BHA toners use lower pHs , to follow the traditional theory that for an exfoliating acid to work, it requires a low pH to "activate" in the skin. This is true for many acids, such as glycolic acid and gluconolactone, however, salicylic acid is unique. in the sense that it has been shown to be an exfoliating agent as effective at a neutral pH as at a low pH.
Therefore, at Press & Clear we use a more neutral pH of 5.5, to match that of the skin, preserving the power of salicylic acid and making it more suitable for sensitive and blemish-prone skin. Our pH-balanced, sting-free formula has been shown to provide an incredibly soothing and refreshing experience on delicate and blemish-prone skin. to imperfections."
