Sleep Glycolic is Medik8's approach to glycolic acid at home. Glycolic acid, the smallest of the AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), is the one that can penetrate the deepest into the skin. As a result, glycolic acid can treat the most persistent skin problems, such as uneven texture and dull complexion.
- High-potency glycolic acid products used at home (especially daily toners) are easy to obtain and are usually indicated for daily use. This has the potential to cause irritation, and a breakdown of the skin barrier. Therefore, at Medik8 we believe that it is best to use glycolic acid occasionally, not daily. Leave the daily acids for the super gentle PHAs (polyhydroxy acids, found in Press & Glow).
- Instead, Sleep Glycolic takes an innovative approach to at-home glycolic acid, harnessing the powerful exfoliating effects of glycolic acid in a biweekly treatment without the drawbacks.
- Glycolic acid is encapsulated in a crystalline cyclodextrin "shell" that slowly breaks down on contact with skin enzymes. Encapsulation causes the high-potency exfoliating acid to gradually penetrate the skin overnight to reduce the potential for irritation.

How to use Sleep Glycolic
- Use 2-3 times a week.
